Coordinator with a focus on service and logistics

The Operations and Maintenance Unit is one of four units within the Traffic and Parks Department, handling the department's inventory and logistics operations.

We are looking for someone who is willing to take responsibility for their work and wants to help develop the organization through systematic improvement efforts!

About the position

As a coordinator focused on service and logistics, you will have overall responsibility for the organization's inventory, material flows, and the department's overarching needs. The role is both administrative and operational and requires a good understanding of the organization's needs as well as the ability to work in a structured and solution-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for purchasing, inventory management, orders, and receiving materials and equipment.
  • Manage work clothes and personal protective equipment.
  • Administer inventory systems, inventories, and follow-up on inventory withdrawals.
  • Administer access systems such as ARX and RCO
  • Collaborate with management, workshops, other municipal operations, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Receive, guide, and support students, interns, and individuals needing work adaptation.
  • Ensure order, structure, and a safe working environment in the inventory operations.
  • Participate in procurement related to inventory operations

Qualifications

High school education or other education/experience deemed sufficient by the employer.

Very good administrative skills and experience working with digital systems such as inventory systems, work order systems, and access systems.

Experience in inventory work, logistics, or similar operations

Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

A valid driver's license, category B is required.

It is an advantage to have a good understanding of practical needs within technical/municipal operations, good financial knowledge, and/or a forklift license.

Personal qualities:

We are looking for someone who is structured, meticulous, and responsible. You should be service-oriented and cooperative. In your interactions with students, interns, and individuals needing work adaptation, you need to be pedagogical, patient, and confident.

We want you to be independent but also have a good ability to work in a team.

During the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents are Passport, International ID card, Driver's license + personal certificate from the tax agency, or another ID document that supports citizenship.

We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sámi varieties as the municipality of Örnsköldsvik is part of both Finnish and Sámi administrative areas.

In our municipality, several positions are classified in security class, so a security review may take place. These positions require Swedish citizenship.
