About WSP Rail WSP Rail is a national subsector within WSP consisting of approximately 200 employees represented throughout Sweden; globally, we are over 7,000 within Rail & Transit. Within the Rail subsector, we have expertise represented for all disciplines such as land, track, electrical power, contact line, signaling, telecommunications, channeling, traffic, capacity, and early stages. All employees, both nationally and internationally, connect their expertise by working on large multidisciplinary as well as smaller assignments.

Some examples of assignments we work on in early stages include the location investigation of Nobelbanan, Norrbotniabanan, location investigation Maria-Helsingborg, Four Tracks Uppsala, Mälarbanan, and the expansion of the Stockholm subway, but also many smaller assignments. We want to grow and are looking for our next investigator/planning coordinator!

About the Role In the role of an experienced investigator/planning coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the planning process, where you will act as an advisor and support in the planning process for rail and in matters related to the law on the construction of railways. For those with the experience and vision, we offer the opportunity to act as project manager where you are expected to take a proactive approach in your leadership by maintaining close dialogue and collaboration with the client while being responsible for the progress, challenges, and opportunities of the assignment. You will be responsible for the implementation of the entire assignment by understanding, leading, and steering the assignment based on given frameworks such as conditions in contracts, scope, timelines, budget, requirements, sustainability, and work environment.

In the project manager role, you work to create conditions for your colleagues in the assignment so that they can do the best job possible while developing and enjoying their work.

Qualifications We are looking for someone with several years of professional experience in investigation and planning coordination in railway assignments. We see that you have a degree from a relevant technical university or other education/experience that can be assessed as equivalent, and that you are well-versed in the law on the construction of railways.

It is an advantage if you have been a project manager/design manager in the railway planning stage.

To succeed in the role, you need to be self-driven, motivated, and confident in your leadership, be a good communicator, and have a good business sense.

As our deliveries are mainly in Swedish, it is of great importance that you demonstrate a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
