Agnesfrids Gymnasium is looking for a student assistant for a project employment within the Upper Secondary and Adult Education Administration. The position is part of a targeted initiative for drug prevention and preventive work to prevent harassment. The assignment extends throughout 2026.
Job Responsibilities
In your role as a student assistant, you will primarily participate in the execution and planning of the educational work with students under the guidance of the responsible educator, as well as other tasks within both the school and short-term supervision. You contribute to promoting students' development, support their knowledge development as well as their personal development, remove obstacles to the student's learning, and follow up on interventions based on the student's needs.
As a student assistant, you will work closely with student health, teachers, school management, and students regarding the student's progression and development. We expect you to view each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students. You create good relationships with your colleagues and students.
Through conversations and projects, you motivate, support, and create a sense of security for the student at school and in their study situation. The assignment may include care for individual students and/or work with students with physical or cognitive disabilities. The work as a student assistant involves varied tasks based on the nature of the individual assignment.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- At least 6 months of experience working with challenging and outwardly aggressive youth
- Knowledge of NPF and low-arousal approaches
- Digital competence, meaning it is natural to use digital tools as work instruments and aids
- Good Swedish in speech and writing.
We are looking for someone who has a good demeanor with the willingness and ability to help others. You inspire trust and are keen to build and maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, guardians, and partners. As a person, you are solution-oriented, have a professional approach, and a good ability to adapt your communication based on the person and situation. Since the tasks partly consist of supporting students in their learning, it is important that you have good pedagogical skills and are flexible as schedules and student demographics may change during the school year. You understand how background, culture, and group affiliation can affect students' everyday lives and learning, and you contribute to an inclusive and respectful school environment.
