Movant Helsingborg is looking for an SVA-combo teacher who is passionate about teaching

We are looking for someone who wants to strengthen our school with language development skills. With us, you will be part of a competent, positive, and wonderful team at the school as well as part of a good, positive school culture.

As an SVA teacher at Movant in Helsingborg, your work will be led by a special educator/deputy principal and the principal. You will work on language development with all students at the school, focusing on their industry-specific language and vocational Swedish. You will teach, lead, and motivate our adult students at the school. Your focus is always to put teaching and students at the center and create conditions for our students to thrive, develop, and achieve their educational goals. Your tasks include documentation, conducting conversations, collegial learning, school development, participating in professional development in various forums, and may include APL visits.

As an SVA teacher at Movant Helsingborg, you are expected to work closely with your vocational teacher colleagues in the Construction Education and with all colleagues at the school. You are expected to work on language development with students within SVA-combo across all programs and handle other relevant tasks. You will guide students in their learning, teach/support practical/theoretical parts, and follow up on knowledge development and learning levels.

We are looking for someone with work experience/knowledge in SVA, who takes pride in their profession and is engaged in our professions/educations and for our students. You are expected to be involved in the school’s knowledge and values work, familiarize yourself with relevant governing documents, and possess digital competence, an inclusive approach, and the ability to adapt teaching to the needs of the students. We teach in a course and subject system, which means reading both.

As a professional, you are curious, eager to learn, unpretentious, a good role model, and naturally filter out the chatter. You share your own knowledge, show humility towards colleagues' competencies and students' different backgrounds and goals. Your personality is characterized by collaboration skills, flexibility, and a great ability to build relationships with everyone you meet. In your role as a teacher, you are professional and give our students a positive belief in their abilities so that they reach their educational goals. You represent a learning/development climate, provide student feedback, assist your colleagues, and maintain a focus on quality.

Meritorious + Formal Competence:

It is a requirement to be eligible for the position/to teach Swedish as a second language that you hold a teaching license with relevant qualifications or a teaching license with supplementary studies of at least 45 credits in Swedish as a second language. Previous experience in SVA-combo and integrated work is meritorious. For the position, it is a requirement to work in the Construction Halls together with colleagues and to engage in language development work across all programs.

Driver's License: A B driver's license is required.

Start Date: According to agreement, preferably in early spring

Position Scope: Part-time, with good opportunities for a higher working degree

Employment Type: Permanent, starting with a 6-month probationary period
