The Service Travel and Housing Adaptation Unit

The Service Travel and Housing Adaptation Unit is an important part of the Urban Planning Office and Norrköping municipality. Here, we work together to carry out authority exercises regarding school transport, student travel, transport services, national transport services, parking permits for people with disabilities, and housing adaptation grants. The unit is also responsible for planning school transport with contracted school buses. We collaborate with the education office, bus companies, Contact Norrköping, and Östgötatrafiken, which are responsible for the execution of transport services and certain school transport trips.

We are located in newly renovated premises centrally at Trädgårdsgatan 21 in Norrköping.

The unit consists of 16 engaged and helpful employees, including three team leaders and a unit manager, who together create a wonderful work environment characterized by good collaboration, responsibility, and a strong drive to deliver quality.

We are now looking for two summer interns!

Your tasks

As a summer intern transport service case officer, you will be offered varied tasks, with a strong emphasis on gathering relevant information required to make correct decisions. You will primarily work with investigations and decision-making regarding transport service applications. Investigations mainly occur via telephone interviews, which means you need to be comfortable making social contacts. There may also be personal meetings with applicants at the office. In addition, you will also handle appeals that come in.

The role of a transport service case officer is exciting and varied, where you have good opportunities to gain valuable experience in authority exercises in a short time.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has an ongoing or completed social work education or another education that the employer considers equivalent.

It is a plus if you have experience in authority exercises. A large part of the work will be performed in our case management system Viva. If you have previous experience with Viva, we would appreciate it if you highlight that in your application.

The position requires knowledge of the Administrative Procedure Act to best contribute in the role, and familiarity with the Transport Services Act is also appreciated.

You have good computer skills and are comfortable with the Office suite; in addition, you find it easy to learn new systems and quickly adapt to new tasks.

You carry out your commitments independently and in a structured manner. You are solution-oriented and have the ability to understand various tasks and solve situations that arise flexibly.

You have good collaboration skills, are engaged, trustworthy, and perform your work in a reliable and clear manner. You have good Swedish in both spoken and written forms; if you also have other language skills, we see that as a positive.

Welcome with your application!
