JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

On behalf of the steering group of the 3R Center, the National Committee, you will drive and participate in various projects aimed at collecting, analyzing, compiling, and disseminating current research and knowledge in the 3R field. The 3R principle concerns replacing, reducing, and refining animal testing, and in your role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of this work.

In your work, you will have several communication channels, such as reports and other publications, the 3R Center's website, newsletters, and social media. Your goal is to make knowledge about 3R accessible and useful for different target groups.

You will conduct activities such as seminars, networking meetings, workshops, and presentations. Through your work, the 3R Center is perceived as a neutral arena that collaborates with various stakeholders, such as universities, authorities, and companies, to advance 3R efforts. You will participate in National Committee meetings as needed to present matters and report on how your assignments have been carried out. You will also represent the 3R Center at national and international conferences and meetings.

Travel is required for the position, estimated to be a handful of times per year, primarily within Sweden but sometimes abroad.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a relevant scientific degree, such as in ethology or biomedicine. You have at least one year of experience in laboratory animal activities and with some of the animal species commonly used in research. You also have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and you speak and write fluently in English.

It is an advantage if you have experience in producing written materials and reports, giving presentations to larger groups, and leading groups, for example, in a project or workshop. Experience in research is also a merit.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. It is particularly important that you have an independent and structured work approach, can easily adapt and collaborate with various professions. You have good analytical skills, can see connections, and manage complex information. You also find it easy to create new relationships and can balance different interests within the field of laboratory animals.

The place of employment is Jönköping with the possibility to work part of the time remotely.
