Community Guide at Jönköping Municipality

Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the development of the municipality, with more residents, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.

Do you want to help develop Jönköping? Do you want to use your knowledge and experience to enhance the citizen experience of our municipality? Are you a pro at customer service and engagement? Are you good at finding answers to important questions and navigating digital channels? Then you have a job to apply for.

Your New Job

As a community guide at the contact center, you have one of the municipality's most important and outward-facing jobs. You answer questions and provide relevant information about everything from building permits to preschool placements. You listen, reflect, and guide further, always with a clear goal: to deliver the best service to our citizens via phone and in-person visits. You work closely with your colleagues at the contact center.

Your Skills

To succeed in this role, you need to quickly absorb information and convey it in a pedagogical manner. You have good judgment and are attentive in your interactions with citizens to provide the best possible service. You are good at collaborating and have an easy time building relationships. In short: a good ambassador for all operations and the first impression for many citizens.

It is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing or new circumstances.

You have started your university studies and have a couple of years of experience in a service role. You have a good ability to express yourself well, both verbally and in writing, primarily in Swedish but also in English.

Welcome to Us

The municipality's communications department consists of two units, the communications unit and the contact center, which together comprise about 40 employees. Your employment will be at the contact center, which serves as the citizens' and businesses' entry point for service and information about the municipality's operations and services. We primarily have contacts via phone but also through digital channels and physical meetings.

With us, you will have a developing job in an exciting environment and a workplace community like no other. If you want to learn more about us as an employer, you can find more here (https://www.jonkoping.se/jobba-hos-oss/jonkopings-kommun-som-arbetsgivare-).
