Do you want to drive innovative research projects?

Do you want to drive innovative research projects, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and see your ideas come to fruition? Then this role may be for you!

About the position

You will work in the research unit where we focus on policy development and strategic choices in development projects through research work, environmental monitoring, and collaboration. The end product is often a report or other decision-making material that will be forwarded by the government or transitioned into development within the agency or sector. We belong to the department of health, care, and welfare where the focus is to contribute to the development of infrastructure and services within healthcare, dental care, and social services.

As a researcher, you will work on investigations that deliver policy-relevant decision-making material to the government and other stakeholders. You will work in cross-professional teams with researchers, solution architects, developers, communicators, and administrators. The teams carry out projects all the way from idea and study design to report writing and communication. You will lead assignments but can also participate as a team member. In the assignments, you often collaborate with other actors and users to ensure utility and usability. In addition, you will also support other employees in research methodology, report writing, and quality assurance. You will also participate in the agency's method and operational development. In this role, you will delve into digitalization issues within healthcare and social services and drive projects from idea to finished solution and communication.

About you

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in teams and is confident in leading for progress and results. You are strategic and creative in solving problems. You are quality-conscious and meticulous – both regarding your own work and that of others. You are good at conveying your message in writing and presentations. It is natural for you to take responsibility for your assignments from start to finish.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a university degree in, for example, political science, economics, statistics, sociology, medicine, or another relevant field
  • at least five years of current experience in qualified research or analysis work in the welfare sector within or on behalf of the public sector
  • current experience in independently conducting research work that includes formulating questions, choosing methods and data collection, as well as developing policy-relevant conclusions and recommendations
  • current experience in leading teams in research or development projects
  • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is meritorious for the position if you have:

  • experience in leading research projects in a knowledge-intensive organization within health, care, and welfare
  • experience in writing reports with the government as the recipient.
