At Svea Solar, we have a clear vision - to fix the planet. As one of Sweden's and Europe's leading players in energy technology, we are driving the energy transition with solar energy and smart energy solutions. ⚡

We are now looking for a Group Financial Controller. Is that you?

About the role & team

Since our start in 2014, Svea Solar has experienced a lot. We went from startup to hypergrowth, but when solar panel sales began to decline, we realized that we could no longer just sell solar panels. We took the next step and evolved from a solar panel company to a full-fledged Energy Tech company. In our current phase, the goal is clear: to build a financially sustainable company and achieve profitability by 2026.

In recent years, we have undergone a significant financial transformation and improved our financial position substantially, with a clear path towards positive results by spring 2026.

As Group Financial Controller with a focus on group consolidation, you will play a key role in creating order, control, and maturity in our financial processes. You will be an important part of the Finance team and report directly to Madelene Franzén, Head of Group Accounting. You will have both operational responsibility and the opportunity to drive development and improvements – “hands-on” while shaping how Svea Solar is financially governed moving forward.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and multiple parallel projects, where quality and accuracy are crucial. You will also quality assure reporting from subsidiaries with varying levels of maturity and keep updated on changes in regulations and standards.

Your responsibilities

  • Drive improvements in accounting and reporting processes, focusing on efficiency and automation.

  • Ensure high quality and consistency in group reporting.

  • Be responsible for statutory accounting and group reporting according to applicable standards.

  • Lead consolidation and develop processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Prepare group annual reports and reporting to owners.

  • Develop and ensure compliance with group accounting principles, internal controls, and international standards.

  • Actively participate in transfer pricing and documentation matters.

  • Share knowledge and create a unified accounting culture within the group.

Why this role is exciting

  • You will have a direct impact on the company's profitability and financial governance.

  • You will work with both Swedish and international companies (including Germany and Italy).

  • The role combines operational work with strategic development responsibility.

  • You will be part of a team that wants to grow together and create a strong, long-term group structure.

  • You will have the opportunity to drive improvements that truly make a difference – both for subsidiaries and for the entire group.
