Calle Flygare is a well-known theater school and part of Medborgarskolan Stockholm Region. Here, performing arts, learning, and personal development meet in a business open to children, young people, and adults with an interest in theater and acting.
Do you want to lead and develop Calle Flygare's course operations with high ambitions and a strong focus on quality and participant experience? We are now looking for an operations manager who wants to take overall responsibility for the operations while driving active and long-term development work.
WHAT WE OFFER
With us, you have the opportunity to influence the direction of one of Sweden's most well-known theater schools. In this role, you will help develop a course offering that reaches children, young people, and adults, building on Calle Flygare's strong traditions in performing arts, courage, and self-expression.
You will have significant autonomy, close contact with the operations, and the opportunity to turn ideas into practice. As part of Medborgarskolan Region Stockholm, you will also have access to a larger context, collegial support, and joint development power, including other operations such as Påhlman's Commercial Institute, Kulturama, and the Stockholm Tailors' Academy.
ABOUT THE POSITION
In this role, you are responsible for the entirety of Calle Flygare's course operations and report to the Operations Director for Calle Flygare. You lead the work with planning, staffing, implementation, follow-up, and further development of courses, based on participants' needs, market demand, and Calle Flygare's profile.
You ensure that the operations function well in everyday life, that participants receive professional and welcoming treatment, and that the courses maintain high quality from first contact to course completion. You follow up on results, initiate improvements, and turn ideas into functioning working methods and initiatives.
You have line management responsibility for employees in the course operations and create clarity, good planning, and functioning routines. The assignment includes, among other things, recruitment, staffing planning, absence management, and ongoing support for coordinators, teachers, assistants, and reception.
The role also entails economic responsibility for the course operations and close collaboration with the rest of the organization on matters concerning marketing, communication, customer dialogue, and development initiatives. This makes the assignment both operational and development-oriented, with many contact points and clear responsibility for results.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have experience from theater, performing arts, culture, or course operations and have a good understanding of how to develop a relevant and high-quality course offering for different target groups. You have a sense for content, pedagogical quality, and participant experience, and can translate that understanding into courses that strengthen Calle Flygare's profile.
You have good industry knowledge within performing arts, theater, acting, culture, or related fields, and have the ability to pick up trends, needs, and opportunities that can develop the operations forward. You are used to working closely with teachers, educators, cultural practitioners, or other subject matter experts and creating good conditions for both content and implementation.
In addition to your subject and industry understanding, you are confident in leading, coordinating, and following up on work together with others. You have good business acumen and are used to working with budgets, calculations, or economic follow-up.
As a person, you are structured, communicative, and action-oriented. It is an advantage if you have experience in marketing, project management, or work in a non-profit organization.
APPLICATION
The position is a permanent full-time employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Start date is as soon as possible or by agreement. The last day for applications is August 18.

Today, the school is a well-known place for theater, acting, and personal development. Common to the entire operation is our fundamental value of the equal worth of all people. We want every student who comes through our doors to feel at home, safe in being themselves, and to have the opportunity to develop their talents.
