Job Description

Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer temporary position as a treatment assistant at SiS.

The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth towards new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you will help ensure that the routines in the department function as they should. You play a significant role in providing stability and security for our youth and clients, and you are responsible for the foundation of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good treatment relationships and help ensure that our youth and clients receive the security and safety they need to break old habits. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

We are now looking for substitutes for both scheduled day/evening shifts and awake night shifts, with duty every third weekend.

There is an opportunity for hourly employment during the spring before the temporary position.

As a summer substitute at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

You should have:

  • At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education that corresponds to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.
  • Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care.
  • Driver's license B
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing

Below are examples of desirable qualifications that can be used in recruitment (select what fits your specific recruitment process)

  • Experience from client-facing positions in the Prison Service, e.g., prison officer.
  • Experience from client-facing positions at the Migration Agency, e.g., caseworker at the detention center.
  • Experience working with our target group (e.g., addiction treatment, youth care, young girls, etc.)

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation, and we place great importance on personal suitability. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, a great capacity for empathy, and the ability to create good treatment relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You share our vision of being a place for change, which permeates your approach, engagement, and attitude.

Exceptions to the requirement for at least a two-year post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).

We want to reward you for helping us during the summer period, so if you work full-time as a monthly employed summer substitute for more than four weeks, you will receive a bonus. Read more at https://www.stat-inst.se/jobba-hos-oss/lediga-jobb/ (https://www.stat-inst.se/jobba-hos-oss/lediga-jobb/)
