Your role with us

As a school counselor with us, you will work with various school counseling tasks such as advice, support conversations, information, and investigations. You will also be an important part of our student health team and work both preventively, promoting, and remedial to support the students' social and emotional health. You will work in a team with another counselor and two school nurses. We work preventively, promoting, and closely with students, for example, classroom work, boys' and girls' groups. You will also contribute to the school's equal treatment work and crisis management.

Who are we looking for?

You who are applying have a degree in social work, and we would like you to have training in ART and DISA. It is an advantage if you have documented experience as a school counselor as well as documented experience as a social worker within social services. If you also have experience in contacting other authorities, writing referrals, and documenting, it is a plus. We want you to be good at collaborating, taking responsibility for your tasks, and being able to work independently. It is an advantage if you have good initiative as well as the ability to make quick and clear decisions both independently and together with others.

When we want to offer you the position, you will need to present an extract from the police criminal record for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in chapters 2, sections 31-33 of the Education Act.

Lingenässkolan is a K-6 school that includes both primary school, adapted school, and leisure activities. It is located out on the beautiful Lingenäset with nature as its closest neighbor.

Through the school's emphasis on good treatment and an inclusive perspective, as well as the teaching being based on a formative approach and a language development approach, we create a safe school where students develop both socially and academically towards their goals. The school has many students who speak a mother tongue other than Swedish, which means that we have good knowledge when it comes to teaching that develops the Swedish language among second language learners. The school has about 440 students in primary school and about 35 students in adapted primary school.
