Description

The authority consists of 20 employees, and the unit's staff together with the responsible manager handles all authority functions in the municipality.

The workgroup dealing with financial assistance consists of four caseworkers and one employee who is a budget and debt advisor. We are now looking for someone who wants to become part of this workgroup and part of the authority as a whole.

With us in Perstorp, you will have the opportunity to work in a meaningful and developing role where you, in your assignment as a social worker in financial assistance, support individuals and families in their financial situations.

Responsibilities

As part of the position, you will update, investigate, assess, decide, and follow up on interventions according to the Social Services Act regarding financial assistance. The municipality has a high proportion of residents receiving financial assistance, and the goal is to increase the number of self-sufficient households. The assignment also includes ensuring and developing work regarding violence in close relationships, where you, together with your colleagues and the responsible manager, drive this work forward.

You will work to support and strengthen individuals' ability to become self-sufficient and assist individuals who are victims of violence, other crime victims, and perpetrators of violence. Working with these target groups often involves unforeseen events that require you to adapt and adjust your work according to the current circumstances.

In the role of social worker, it is important that you are professional, attentive, and have the ability to understand others' perspectives. The work requires good communication skills, which means that you can express yourself clearly and structured both verbally and in writing.

As a social worker in the individual and family care in Perstorp Municipality with the assignment as a social worker in financial assistance, you will collaborate with external partners and other units within the administration, including the Employment Unit. Good collaboration skills are therefore an important quality as cross-sectoral work is a focus.

Qualifications

• Degree in social work (210 credits)
• Documented experience of authority functions in financial assistance

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience working with violence in close relationships
• Knowledge of assessment tools such as FREDA, Patriark, and SARA
• Experience with the operational system LifeCare
