Make a difference. Every day.

Do you want to contribute your commitment and knowledge to an organization where you and your skills play a crucial role in patients' recovery? Then you are warmly welcome to Adult Psychiatry Helsingborg.

The area of operations (VO) adult psychiatry Helsingborg has 24-hour and outpatient care in Ängelholm, Helsingborg, and Landskrona. We provide specialist psychiatric care and treatment for patients with severe mental health issues. The catchment area consists of ten municipalities in northwestern Skåne, with whom we have a good collaboration through meetings and care planning. To offer the best possible care, the eating disorder teams in outpatient care, day care, and 24-hour care are integrated and work together to follow the patient, regardless of care needs and level of care.

Patients often have a complex disease picture with both somatic and psychiatric comorbidity. With us, you have the chance to follow your patients on their journey to recovery alongside our competent teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are expanding our team and look forward to welcoming a new treatment assistant to our eating disorder team!

In the role of treatment assistant, you will assess and treat patients both individually and together with families and in groups. The work is characterized by a strong relational focus, where we continuously build and further develop safe and sustainable treatment relationships. Creating a good alliance and instilling trust is central to our work.

Motivational interviewing and other evidence-based methods are an important part of the treatment, with the goal of strengthening the patient's own resources and promoting change. The assignment also includes consultation and close collaboration with care neighbors and other partners to ensure cohesive and qualitative care. Your position is based in outpatient care where you will also have your office, but like the rest of the team, tasks will also be found within day care and 24-hour care.

The work is governed by standardized care processes and relevant guidelines, ensuring evidence-based practice. At our clinic, we work based on the treatment manual CBT-E. As part of our development work regarding how to support patients with emotion regulation difficulties when this interacts with eating disorder issues, we have tested treatment based on DBT-SS over the past year. As a practitioner in the team, you will have a defined role in this development work. You are expected to be active in the development towards a patient-safe, research-based psychiatric care. We offer regular supervision.

As a new employee with us, you will receive a structured and well-thought-out introduction to both the organization and your job responsibilities. The position is daytime, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in fields such as behavioral science, social work, or equivalent, and have basic training in CBT level 1. You also need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Previous experience in psychiatry and eating disorder treatment is an advantage.

As a practitioner, you must be able to work independently as well as collaborate with others, both within your own group and with other agencies/partners. You also need to be structured and have good analytical skills. You are flexible in your working methods and have the ability to take initiative as well as prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. When interacting with patients as well as relatives, we expect you to be attentive and have a humble approach. When filling the position, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

A background check will be conducted before any employment.

In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection. We warmly welcome your application. We look forward to getting to know you!
