Are you ready for the future? We are – and now we are looking for you!
Within the Department of Work and Welfare in Kristianstad, we are embarking on an exciting journey of change. Our vision is clear: A department – ready for the future! The social services will become more preventive, accessible, equal, and knowledge-based - and with the new social services act as a foundation, we are currently engaged in an active change process where our entire department is transitioning to focus more on preventive work, developed collaboration where we can create more flexible and accessible support, and increased accessibility for our citizens. As an employee with us, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of social services.
On April 1, we will implement our new organization - and in the investigation units, we have chosen to organize our teams based on work with "investigation" or "intervention". This means that as an "investigator" you will work more focused on assessing the needs of children, and as an "interventionist" you will work more focused on following up on approved interventions. The target group you will meet is children and young people aged 13-24.
We are now looking for more employees who want to join us on our journey of change. Are you driven, curious, and want to contribute to meaningful work? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
Your role with us
Your tasks mainly consist of case management and documentation according to the social services act and LVU, where you are responsible for the investigation work and for following up on approved interventions. You will have contact with the children/youth, their guardians, and social networks. You make individual assessments, collaborate internally and externally, and work together with management and colleagues to develop the operations in various ways. You are responsible, based on delegation, for legally secure case management and decisions in individual cases, as well as ensuring that established routines are followed. Our approach is focused on the needs of the citizen.
Who are we looking for?
You who are applying have a degree in social work. Experience in public authority exercise, preferably within social services for children and youth, is considered an asset. Training in BBiC and Signs of Safety is also meritorious.
Since communication and documentation are part of the work, you need to be computer literate and have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves, structured, flexible, creative, and courageous. Collaboration is a given for you, both internally and externally. You dare to see, take responsibility, and can handle difficult acute situations. Furthermore, you need to be able to work both independently and together with colleagues and partners. A driving license (B) is a requirement.
This is us
Currently, about 480 dedicated employees work in the department, making a difference for people at various stages of life every day. Together, we create security, participation, and opportunities.
To provide our citizens with the best possible reception and support, the Children and Youth department in Kristianstad has chosen to focus one of our three investigative units on youth and the other units on younger children. By organizing our work based on age groups, we can offer more targeted and needs-based support. We provide our employees with more accessible support and management, and our investigation teams consist of 7 employees, each team being led by a close team leader. As an employee, you also have close access to your unit manager.
We offer
- An open, safe, and welcoming climate where we have fun at work.
- Fantastic, experienced colleagues with knowledge, courage, and humor who are passionate about the target group and care for the cohesion in the workplace.
- A close and accessible management in the form of team leaders who guide and support in the operational work.
- Individual development and employee influence.
- A well-developed knowledge support with all the guidelines/routines, checklists, and templates we need to perform the work.
- Flexible working methods in consultation with the nearest manager.
- Individualized introduction and mentorship based on your specific needs! Here you are allowed to be new on the job and get into the work at a comfortable pace.
- We are part of the Career Journey, offering training in Signs of Safety and several other trainings through our Education Portal.
- External supervision.
- Flexible hours and wellness benefits.
Meet the future with us in the Department of Work and Welfare. The department is responsible for individual and family care and certain labor market and educational initiatives in the municipality. We have a collective responsibility to prevent and combat exclusion and to support citizens towards increased independence.
