Your role with us

The tasks consist of performing escorting or relief work for clients according to the LSS decision made. The common target group is children and young adults. As an escort, you support the client in being involved in various activities in society such as movies, training, or other leisure activities. When providing relief at home, you relieve a relative in caregiving work. The interventions should stimulate an active life so that skills develop and create conditions for the future based on individual needs.

The tasks may include:

• Individual support in various daily activities
• Supporting and participating in a leisure activity
• Relieving relatives in the care of children or youth

If applicable, perform medical tasks on behalf of a parent.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have an interest in working with children, young people, or adults. As a person, you are independent, outgoing, and have the ability to make your own decisions. To be an escort or relief worker, you also need to be flexible, resilient to stress, and able to perform work on behalf of others.

It is an advantage if you have education from the child and leisure program with a focus on social work, or educational work, or the healthcare and nursing program with a vocational outcome in disability or psychiatry, or other education that the employer finds equivalent. We want you to have experience working with people with disabilities, and it is a plus if you have previous experience working with children.

As the work requires communication and certain documentation, we expect you to master Swedish in both spoken and written form, and we would like you to have knowledge of alternative communication. The job requires you to have a B driver's license.

We are looking for you who want to work with people and make a difference. You have the ability to listen, show empathy, and respect. As an escort, you should be calm and open to new experiences and able to adapt to the client's needs. Furthermore, you have the ability to handle difficult situations and work according to low-arousal responses.

The work involves monthly planning between you and the client, which may vary from month to month.
