Do you want to work with our citizens to help them achieve self-sufficiency?
We are looking for a social worker with a degree in social work for a varied position that includes both processing applications and social work.
What we offer you!
At the Employment Administration in Hässleholm, we work with cross-functional goals, continuous improvements, and the development of our operations.
The Economic Assistance consists of two support units that collaborate closely across unit boundaries, which means you will have many wonderful colleagues! The units are divided into teams where the Reception Team and the New Investigations Team work based on short-term processes, while the teams handling ongoing cases work based on longer processes.
In these positions, which are placed in ongoing teams, regular follow-up conversations are included to investigate, motivate, and support applicants towards self-sufficiency. To enable joint planning with the shortest and most sustainable path to self-sufficiency, we have established internal and external contacts, for example in the form of collaboration meetings.
In addition to the self-sufficiency assignment, you will handle applications for economic assistance, meaning you will investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding the right to assistance according to current legislation and practice.
As support in your work, there are weekly team meetings and case supervision in large groups, where colleagues, team leaders, and specialist social workers participate. As part of your introduction, you will also receive a mentor to support you in your daily work.
Your workplace will be at Tingshusgatan 1, a few minutes' walk from the central station, which has good commuting options by train and bus.
We are recruiting:
- 3 permanent positions
- 2 temporary positions
starting April 20, 2026, or by agreement.
The Municipality of Hässleholm strives to create the best conditions for a sustainable work life, where you can thrive, feel good, and experience job satisfaction. We offer our employees benefits such as wellness grants and the opportunity to exchange vacation day supplements for days off.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is secure, has good personal maturity, and an interest and willingness to work with people. We value good communication skills in your contact with our applicants, being able to listen attentively, be clear, and use low-arousal responses when necessary.
You can work independently, maintain structure and timelines even in unprepared situations. Being thorough, making decisions, and having tough conversations are seen as important skills. You need to be able to maintain structure and timelines in your work, even during peak periods and in unprepared situations.
You have a degree in social work, are an experienced computer user, and can express yourself well in both speech and writing.
We would prefer that you have experience in social work and authority exercise within economic assistance, but it is not a requirement. You may need to get around the municipality, so having a B driver's license is an advantage.
You share the values and approaches described in our employee and leader policy.
