Malmö Child and Women’s Shelter is seeking a curator with a focus on children and youth.
Are you a social worker with experience and a drive to support women and children affected by violence? Do you want to be part of a professional and dedicated team working to create a society free from violence in close relationships? Then you might be the person we are looking for.
About Malmö Child and Women’s Shelter
Malmö Child and Women’s Shelter is a non-profit organization founded in 1980 that works for an equal society free from violence. We provide protection and support to women and their children affected by violence. Our services include a sheltered accommodation, counseling reception, support line, and chat. Our work also includes advocacy and violence prevention efforts.
Qualifications and specific requirements
- A degree in social work is required.
- Experience in curatorial work related to violence in close relationships.
- Competence in motivational interviewing, women’s shelter work, counseling methodology, and parenting education.
- Competence in method development.
- Experience in giving lectures.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- A valid driver’s license for manual transmission is required.
Your responsibilities
As a curator with us, your main responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating functions for women, children, and families in the accommodation.
- Conducting safety assessments, implementation plans, and record-keeping.
- Contacting authorities regarding assignments, assistance decisions, and cooperation.
- Collaborating and performing tasks in a team.
- Conducting support conversations individually and in groups with adults and children, as well as offering parental support.
- Organizing activities and performing practical tasks to create a safe and pleasant living environment.
- Staffing the support line and conducting outreach efforts such as informational sessions and lectures.
- Generating project ideas and then leading and implementing the projects.
- Developing methods and methodological materials.

Information about the position
Extent: Full-time, we apply a 37.5-hour workweek. Evening and weekend work may occur. On-call duty according to schedule.
Employment type: Permanent position, we apply a six-month probationary period.
Start date: According to agreement.
The organization is affiliated with a collective agreement through Fremia and offers supervision and wellness funds to employees.
