The entire individual and family care sector in Tomelilla Municipality is facing an exciting development. The position of senior social worker in child and family services entails significant responsibility, where you will have the opportunity for both personal development and to help other social workers grow in their work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a senior social worker, you will work closely with the unit's social workers and unit manager. You will provide support and guidance to both new and experienced social workers in their daily work. The primary task of the senior social worker is to provide case supervision and methodological guidance, both individually and in groups. The role includes staying updated on new research, legislation, and directives, as well as ensuring their implementation in daily operational work. You will be involved in creating and maintaining routines and effective processes in daily operations. In close collaboration with the unit manager, you will follow up on the unit's goals and results and drive the unit's development forward.

As a senior social worker, you will:

  • Act as an expert with strong knowledge in child and youth care
  • Support social workers with prioritizations in daily work and towards the goal of working independently
  • Identify and drive improvement proposals
  • Participate in the development of the organization
  • Maintain methods and assessment tools to ensure they are used in daily case management
  • Represent the organization in overarching projects
  • Review written materials and provide feedback
  • Be responsible for reviewing case management according to applicable legislation and guidelines
  • Contribute to creating a good working environment
  • Some case management may occur

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another equivalent degree recognized by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have several years of relevant and documented experience in authority practice according to the Social Services Act directed at the target group of children and youth. You therefore have very good knowledge of current legislation and case management of children, youth, and their families, as well as good knowledge of and experience with BBIC. We also want you to have prior experience in driving quality work.

Since the work involves a lot of documentation, high demands are placed on administrative skills and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

As a person, we see that you have the ability to coach, motivate, and help others develop in their work with the best interests of the child in focus. You are communicative, clear, and attentive to your counterpart and have the ability to formulate information or messages in an understandable way. Furthermore, you are confident and stable in yourself and your work. You are calm, controlled, and have the ability to focus on the right things and maintain a realistic perspective even in pressured situations. You enjoy collaborating with others and possess the ability to resolve conflicts constructively.

The position of senior social worker requires you to have the ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on your work, as well as ensure that tasks are completed and feedback is provided in a timely manner. Furthermore, we also see that you easily adapt to different people and situations and can meet each employee at their level and according to their needs for support and guidance in their work.
