Support Assistant for Tomelilla Municipality

We are looking for someone who wants to work with housing support in ordinary housing according to the Social Services Act for individuals within the LSS group.

In Tomelilla Municipality, we provide housing support for the LSS group every day of the week until 9 PM. This ensures good and broad service and security for our users in ordinary housing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant, you will work with individuals who have been granted assistance according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons - LSS. You should have an approach and response that provides individually tailored support in daily living, which means that interventions should meet the individual’s psychological, physical, and social needs. The work involves promoting the individual’s abilities and independence.

Your role includes supporting and assisting participants with care as well as performing interventions based on individual needs and creating participation. The tasks involve activities and guidance both in groups and individually. Tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, as well as activities and movement are common in daily work.

The tasks include close collaboration with relatives, guardians, health and medical care teams, as well as other authorities and partners that are significant for the user. Documentation is an important part of daily work.

You will work daily with AAC, communication aids, and cognitive support as a natural part of the job.

Working with social documentation and implementation plans with a shared understanding of goals, interventions, support, and how it should be tailored individually is part of the daily work.

QUALIFICATIONS

In the role of housing support worker, you are titled support assistant and have studied nursing programs or child and leisure programs with a focus on pedagogy, psychiatry, or disabilities. You also need to have experience in the field and the ability to act in a low-affect manner.

It is advantageous if you have training and/or experience regarding NPF diagnoses and cognitive variations.

In the work, it is expected that you as an employee are engaged and proactive in the continuous improvement work for increased quality both at the individual and organizational level.

A prerequisite for potentially moving forward with a position as a support assistant is that you pass the medication test, both written and oral, as well as the practical part for medication delegation in Tomelilla Municipality.

You must master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate clearly with users, relatives, and colleagues in both speech and writing.

A driver's license is required for a manual transmission vehicle.
