About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Interim Manager to serve as the temporary head of the Service Development section in the Department of Pharmaceuticals at the E-Health Agency. The assignment is planned to last during the recruitment process of a new Section Manager. As the head of the Service Development section, you will be responsible for leading and further developing the operations and management team, as well as having budget and personnel responsibilities. In the role of Interim Manager, you will report to the department head and be part of the department's management team.

As an Interim Manager, your most important task is to create the right conditions for employees' work, both as individuals and as a management team. The role of the Interim Manager includes creating a suitable organization, processes, reporting, and more that are needed to deliver on the assignment in the best possible way. Furthermore, you will ensure the necessary competence supply for the team. You will work closely with the department head and other managers and employees within the department and the agency.

Assignment Period and Scope:

The position of Interim Manager is a full-time consulting assignment starting on 2026-02-23 and is expected to last until 2026-05-31, with a possible extension.

The assignment must be able to be carried out on-site, 2-3 days/week at the agency's office in Stockholm and via digital solutions/channels such as Skype and Teams, depending on the agency's current needs and decisions made by the responsible manager at the E-Health Agency.

Frequent travel to the E-Health Agency's office in Kalmar is required, at least every other week and for at least 2-3 days at a time.

Requirements for the Position:

  • Relevant education with a degree at the university/college/vocational level, or if education and degree are lacking, the offered interim manager must have worked for at least 10 years as a manager
  • At least three years of documented experience working as a manager for other managers
  • At least three years of experience leading complex organizations (an organization larger than 100 employees) that develop digital products/services
  • At least two years of experience translating strategic goals into tactical and operational activities.
  • At least one year of experience working as a business owner in agile delivery trains
  • Good ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • A clear and inclusive communication style
  • Very good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish

Meritorious for the Position:

  • Experience collaborating with internal and external parties related to product development.
  • Knowledge of regulations for medical devices.
  • At least one year of experience working as a manager in the health, care, and welfare sector.

About You:

For the position, you need to be experienced and knowledgeable in leading employees and developing a growing organization. You should have the capacity and ability to quickly understand the operations and deliver results within a limited time frame. You have experience handling typical managerial tasks, are a good leader with the ability to coach employees to strengthen their self-leadership. It is desirable if you are also accustomed to managing collaboration with employee organizations and have knowledge of the health and medical care sector.
