The Assistance Unit belongs to the area of operations for Assistance, Health, and Medical Care. The unit consists of a unit manager, senior case managers, case managers, LSS/SoL case managers, fee case managers, and a relative consultant. We are a small workgroup where you will have close collaboration with colleagues and the unit manager. We believe it is important to enjoy your work! We care for each other and work for an even distribution of tasks and close collegial cooperation.

At the Assistance Unit, we investigate the right to support and care according to SoL (Social Services Act) and LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). The unit is also responsible for fee management for elderly care and offers various types of support to relatives. The unit collaborates with many different actors both internally and externally. Teamwork is important.

The Social Administration consists of 600 employees, and the breadth of the assignment is extensive. The administration is divided into five areas of operation and is present throughout the municipality. Here, we are responsible for providing care and support, assistance and service, as well as health and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life.

A day as a case manager at the Assistance Unit

At the Assistance Unit, we have regular meetings for updates, professional development, and collegial support. We constantly work on quality and improvements within the unit, which all employees are engaged in in various ways.

Your main tasks:

• Manage cases based on SoL
• Investigate needs for help and support based on applicable legislation and practice.
• Make decisions about interventions and follow up on decisions.
• Meet individuals in need of help and support, conduct home visits, participate in various collaboration meetings and SIP.
• Participate in work with operational development in the unit in various working groups and at method meetings.

We use the investigation method IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus).

Daily documentation occurs in the operational system Viva, and we conduct care planning and SIP in the documentation system Cosmic Link together with the region.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or another higher education deemed relevant by the recruiting manager
• Experience in documentation and computer skills
• The ability to express yourself well in speech and writing
• Driving license B

It is also meritorious to have:

• Experience in case management based on SoL, LSS, or other legislation
• Experience with target groups such as the elderly and those with disabilities
• Experience from work within other authorities
• Experience of working in our operational/documentation systems

Your work is characterized by a focus on individuals, good treatment, and judgment. You are flexible, have a good ability to prioritize, and create an overview and structure in your work, even in urgent situations. You are communicative and solution-oriented in your meetings with citizens and partners. You see opportunities and are positive in your work.

Other information

Full-time temporary position until 2026-08-31 with the possibility of extension. Start as soon as possible or by agreement.

We have annual working hours with the possibility of flexibility. Here you will receive wellness time during work hours or a wellness allowance, and there is the possibility of remote work to some extent, if the work allows.
