About the Position
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable personal assistant for a boy with diagnoses of cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He is wheelchair-bound and requires assistance around the clock. You will work scheduled shifts between 08:00–16:00 and 16:00–22:00. During daytime, you will accompany him to school.
Job Responsibilities
- Support in daily life, both at home and at school
- Assistance during outings and activities (the client has his own car)
- Social support and creating a safe environment
About You
- You are responsible, flexible, and have a good attitude
- Experience in personal assistance is an advantage but not a requirement
- Driver's license is a requirement (access to your own car is an advantage)
- You need to be able to provide a criminal record extract
- You are comfortable with having a dog in the home

Recruitment Process
We will continuously contact candidates who are suitable for a first interview. The position will be filled when we find the right person, which may happen before the application deadline. Your application will be processed by staff at Storsjöbydens personal assistance, together with the client, as well as any relatives, guardians, or other concerned parties. If the position involves working with a minor client, an extract from the criminal record is required.
Child Perspective in Recruitment
At Storsjöbydens personal assistance, we closely follow the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which means that if you apply for a position involving work with minors, the recruitment process will include specific steps to ensure that the child's will and needs are taken into account. Employment where you work with a minor client will also include training on the child perspective.
Employment Conditions
If you proceed in the recruitment process, you will need to verify your identity and prove that you have the right to work in Sweden. To sign your employment contract and your time reports, you will need a BankID.
To ensure high quality in assistance, new employees will undergo a web-based introductory training (about 1 hour), preferably before the start of employment but no later than within a month from the beginning of employment.
