About the Job

The Social and Labor Market Administration in Östersund is one of seven administrations and includes approximately 350 dedicated employees.

One of our sectors, Competence, Work and Welfare, is now looking for 1 social worker for the Welfare Unit. Here you will work alongside 30 colleagues to create positive change in people's lives.

1 Permanent position. Start date by agreement.

Your Responsibilities

• Investigate and assess the right to financial assistance.
• Provide support and advice to those seeking help to become self-sufficient.
• Work closely with our citizens and build trusting relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the municipality to find the best solutions for individual needs.
• Cooperate with other actors to help individuals reach their goals.
• Document and follow up on cases according to applicable legislation.

Competencies

Requirements

• Degree in Social Work.
• Good computer skills and experience working with digital systems.
• Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of current legislation.
• Personal suitability.

Meritorious

• Experience in public authority work and collaboration with external actors.
• Familiarity with the operational system VIVA.
• Driver's license.
• Knowledge of languages other than Swedish.
