Social Worker for the Children and Family Unit

We are looking for more social workers for the Children and Family Unit for a fixed-term employment until 2026-12-31 at 100%. We at the unit want to contribute to ensuring that children and young people have good growing conditions. We work with children and young people aged 0-18 and their parents and networks. It is an important and enjoyable job, but far from simple.

Your New Job

As a social worker in the Children and Family Unit, you will work on investigating children's needs and parents' abilities based on reports of concern and applications. Based on the investigation, you will make assessments and decisions regarding interventions and be responsible for follow-ups on these interventions. We work according to SoL and LVU. All work is based on close collaboration with other authorities and partners. The tasks are investigative in nature, and documentation and communication are central parts of the work. We work according to BBIC and Signs of Safety. The job involves conducting home visits to citizens, which may also include travel throughout the country.

The work is interesting, challenging, and multifaceted, and is suitable for you who are stimulated by complex situations and challenges that require problem-solving and creativity.

When you start with us, you will receive an introduction and support to grow into your role. We provide collegial support, close leadership, weekly case discussions, and external supervision. All social workers receive further training in the national Professional Journey. We work in an activity-based office environment with different zones, and there is some opportunity for remote work.

Common Tasks

  • Investigate, assess, and make decisions in cases.
  • Documentation of cases.
  • Support and help people in critical and challenging situations.
  • Emergency assessments of incoming cases.
  • Advisory conversations.
  • Collaborate with other authorities and partners.

Your Competence

Requirements

  • You have a degree in social work.
  • You have experience in authority work within social child and youth care.
  • You have good computer skills.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

  • Training and experience in working according to Signs of Safety.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in the operational system Viva.
  • You have a driver's license.
