Support Assistant for LSS Housing in Frösön

Are you a reliable support assistant who focuses on the citizen's perspective? Do you want to work to support and help our citizens towards a meaningful everyday life? Then you could be our new support assistant for LSS housing in Frösön!

We are now looking for a support assistant for an LSS housing in Frösön, within walking distance to Östersund city center. In the LSS housing, five citizens aged 25–65 live with different needs for support in their daily lives. We are particularly looking for someone who wants to work with, or has previous experience in, working with clarifying pedagogy such as visual support or social stories. You will work in a team with seven support assistants and support staff. The workplace has close support and collaboration with a support pedagogue and a special educator. In the larger organization, there are also occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, and district nurses.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, on-call, and weekends. You will work according to a flexible working time model, which gives you some opportunity to influence your schedule. Work at another location may occur in connection with vacation trips. The position is a permanent employment with a full-time employment rate of 100%. Start date by agreement.

Your New Job

As a support assistant, you provide support based on each citizen's individual needs and conditions. You help citizens in their daily lives, both at home and outside. The work includes, among other things, support with personal hygiene and assistance with daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping. In this LSS housing, we actively work to create a daily life that is meaningful, understandable, and manageable for our citizens. The daily life is planned in close collaboration with our citizens, and in our work, we use clarifying support and pedagogical methods. Currently, BOET is also being introduced as a digital operational support, which gives you the opportunity to be involved in this development work early on.

Activities such as bowling, swimming, and dancing occur, and we would like you to actively participate in these or similar activities. Driving to the citizens' daily activities or various activities is part of the job. A driver's license for a passenger car is therefore a requirement; a license for an automatic vehicle is acceptable.

• Support and guidance in the citizen's daily life
• Assist the citizen with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping.
• Participate in various activities together with the citizen
• Support the citizen with personal hygiene
• Perform delegated health and medical services such as medication management or support with prescribed physical training

Your Competence

Requirements

• Trained support assistant or nursing assistant
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license-B

Meritorious

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Experience working with individuals with autism
• Experience working with low-arousal approaches
• Experience working with clarifying pedagogy, such as visual support and social stories
• Familiarity with our systems: Viva, MCSS, Heroma, and/or DF-respons
