We are currently looking for two employees for our newly built LSS accommodation located in the picturesque Torvalla By and one employee for our LSS accommodation located in central Östersund, close to the city's offerings. In our operations, you will become part of a competent and experienced team. We base our working method on low-arousal responses, clear pedagogical approaches, and a strong citizen focus.

There is no day shift at the LSS accommodation in Torvalla By, and working hours are scheduled for mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleeping on-call, and weekends. At the LSS accommodation in central Östersund, you will work days, evenings, sleeping on-call, and weekends.

Start date is according to agreement.

Your new job

As a support assistant/support person, you have a central and meaningful role in the citizen's daily life. You provide individually tailored support based on each citizen's needs, conditions, and goals, focusing on creating security, participation, and as independent a life as possible. You are there to support in both everyday situations and the challenges that may arise both inside and outside the home.

The work includes practical support such as personal care, medication management, assistance in shower situations, and everyday tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and meal planning. You also support in structuring and planning daily life and accompany on activities such as meeting places, basketball, and dance. In your work, you may use signs as alternative and augmentative communication (TAKK), other forms of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), clear pedagogical approaches, and various forms of visual support. You also work from a KASAM-inspired perspective to create comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness. Low-arousal responses are a natural part of the work, as challenging behaviors may occur.

Community is important to us. In our LSS accommodations, there are vibrant communal areas where we can engage in many joint activities, from sing-alongs, dancing, games, and puzzles to communal dinners. We strive to be active residences, and there is room to be creative and bring new ideas within given frameworks.

You document daily in our operational systems Boet, Viva, DF-respons, and MCSS. The work is carried out in close collaboration with relatives, licensed personnel, support pedagogues, operational support, psychologists, social workers, and speech therapists, to together create as safe and functioning a whole as possible for the citizen. Knowledge of intellectual disabilities (ID) is an advantage.

Your qualifications

Requirements

• High school education. We prefer that you have a focus on care or social work.
• Good Swedish in both spoken and written form.
• Good computer skills.

Meritorious

• Experience working with people with disabilities.
• Experience working with youth.
• Experience working with a low-arousal approach.
• Experience working in Boet, Viva, DF-respons, MCSS.
• Knowledge of TAKK/AAC.
• Knowledge of ID.
• Driver's license.
