JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to be part of creating new activities? Do you want to make a difference for seniors in our municipality? We are looking for two Senior Coaches who are passionate about promoting health, independence, and social participation among people aged 65 and older. The role is an important part of our preventive work and primarily targets seniors who do not have, or do not yet need, services from the Social Administration.

As a Senior Coach, you will work preventively, health-promoting, and coordinatively to strengthen seniors' opportunities for an active, meaningful, and independent daily life. You will contribute to preventing loneliness as well as physical and mental ill health. You will be based in Järpen and will work throughout our municipality.

We are a large team in Culture and Leisure, which you will be part of, working with the Culture School, association support, recreational facilities, outdoor life issues, cultural activities, youth issues, youth centers/meeting places, and collaboration between school and working life.

Your tasks will include:

• Offering individual coaching and support regarding health, physical activity, diet, social contexts, and digital tools.
• Acting as a contact person for seniors in need of preventive support.
• Planning and implementing activities, meeting places, training, and workshops both in fixed locations and through mobile interventions.
• Initiating and leading movement and wellness activities based on the needs of the target group.
• Supporting seniors in using the municipality's services and e-services.
• Collaborating with home care, health centers, family support, associations, and civil society.
• Informing about preventive measures and gathering information about senior-accessible activities.
• Documenting interventions and following up on activities.
• Working strategically and long-term with sustainable meeting places and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant education or experience in health, wellness, social work, or similar.
• Communicative, proactive, and able to build relationships.
• Interest in digital tools and the ability to support seniors in IT issues.

As a person, you enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with other actors. You have and can demonstrate a genuine commitment and interest in improving the quality of life for the elderly.
