The Ground Workshop Unit (MvE), with the Inspection Department (BesA), is a unit within the Army Staff that performs traffic suitability and functional checks with status assessments on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground vehicles, air base materials, and provides technical system support. BesA has about 110 employees and operates throughout the country.
Main Responsibilities
The work mainly consists of performing traffic suitability checks and functional checks with status assessments on the Armed Forces' combat vehicle systems such as Combat Vehicle 90 and Stridsvagn 122, thereby contributing to ensuring high quality, functionality, and a good working environment.
The work takes place at our fixed inspection stations but also at other locations and places both nationally and internationally where the Armed Forces operate.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- At least completed two- or three-year automotive technical education with a focus on automotive mechanics or other technical education or competence acquired through professional experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- Several years of work experience preferably as an inspection technician or automotive mechanic, preferably with heavy vehicles.
- Knowledge of the MS Office package, preferably Excel and Word.
- At least a driving license B.
- Express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing.

DESIRABLE
- Completed the Armed Forces' mechanic training, focusing on combat vehicles.
- Higher driving license than B.
- Completed the basic training for inspection technicians at the vehicle inspection, with at least additional training for heavy vehicles.
- Knowledge and experience of working with status assessments on vehicles.
- Knowledge and experience of working in support systems such as SAP.
- Completed military service training.
Other
Employment type: permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period. Employment rate: full-time, daytime. Work location: Skövde. Start date: by agreement.
The work requires travel in service, both domestically and internationally. The position is a civilian position.
