As a System Developer with our client, you will be an important part of a strong team that builds and further develops critical IT solutions in an organization that is experiencing strong growth and change.

The authority's development organization consists of approximately 40 self-sufficient teams that work closely with the business. They mainly develop in-house systems, primarily in Java, and are currently in the midst of a technical journey towards a modern, cloud-native platform. They value community, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. They have an open and permissive culture where different perspectives are seen as a strength and where they solve problems together – often at the whiteboard.

You will be part of a cross-functional development team consisting of developers, testers, requirements analysts, architects, and product owners. Together, you are responsible for both new development, further development, and maintenance of systems used by internal and external users as well as in integration with other national and European systems. The work is largely backend-focused and characterized by complex integration solutions, but may also include frontend as needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering new features and services
• Maintaining and improving existing systems
• Working with continuous delivery and a high degree of automation
• Testing your own and others' solutions as a natural part of the development process
• Collaborating closely with other teams and the operations and support organization
• Contributing to technical discussions, architectural choices, and improvement work

The team works with modern technologies and tools and is moving towards a platform based on Docker and Kubernetes. The technical environment mainly consists of React in the frontend and Java in the backend, where they use Spring Boot or Quarkus. They work event-driven and use Kafka as a streaming platform.

• Has a technical post-secondary education in IT, such as computer engineering or similar
• Has at least three years of work experience as a developer in Java or C#
• Is fluent in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• CI/CD and agile working methods
• SQL
• Modern Java-based frameworks
• Development in microservices architecture
• Container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Working in larger organizations with complex decision-making processes, such as authorities

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in system development who thrives in an environment where collaboration, responsibility, and quality are in focus. You are curious, engaged, and eager to share your knowledge while being open to learning new things. You are self-sufficient, structured, and adaptable in an organization where conditions can sometimes change and priorities need to be reassessed.

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both the client and our side is that you will eventually be directly employed by the client.

Security clearance with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. As a result, there is a requirement for Swedish citizenship.
