At our LSS group home Långenäsvägen in Karlstad, you should feel safe and involved. We want to give you the opportunity to develop as a person, and our work is based on your wishes, needs, and conditions. We run the operation in collaboration with Karlstad municipality, which has the right to all places. It is a great advantage if you have worked with Takk or have other knowledge of sign language.

At Långenäsvägen, there are 6 people who have been granted assistance under LSS9§9, housing with special services.

We are a small staff group of 9 people and are now looking for someone who wants to join our team over the summer of 2024.

About the role In the role of housing supporter, you will base your work on the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life from a pedagogical perspective. Together with other staff members, you will work towards making the day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.

You will have a group leader or group manager close to you who works part of their time in the operation. This could also be a future career opportunity for you.

Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have a high school education in health and care or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience in documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and opportunities to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, always keeping our users' best interests in mind in everything you do.
