IT Coordinator at Nyköping Municipality

Nyköping is growing, and the digitalization of the municipality's operations continues at a rapid pace. To meet the increasing demand for digital welfare services, we are developing a hybrid IT environment that combines cloud services with deliveries from our own data centers.

Nyköping Municipality aims to provide both residents and employees with a modern, efficient, and user-friendly digital work environment. We are now looking for an engaged and structured IT Coordinator who wants to take overall responsibility for the management of the municipality's internal IT systems and contribute to developing a long-term sustainable, secure, and well-functioning digital work environment.

The position is located in the IT department at the Municipal Executive Office, a central function in the municipality. The IT department is responsible for support, operations, management, and development of the IT environment for both Nyköping and Oxelösund municipalities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone with experience in internal system management, who works in a structured manner and enjoys a coordinating role. You have a good understanding of the IT systems' lifecycle, documentation, and information security, as well as the ability to collaborate with both technical and operational functions.

As an IT Coordinator in the IT department, you have overall responsibility for the management of the department's internal and underlying systems.

Your role includes:

• Coordinating and being responsible for the ongoing management of internal IT systems.
• Planning, coordinating, and following up on the entire lifecycle of the systems.
• Ensuring that system documentation is current, correct, and appropriate.
• Working in a structured manner to develop a unified and long-term system management within the IT department.

To enable effective internal system management, you will also work with:

• Coordinating and further developing routines and processes for operations, support, incident, and change management.
• Standardizing and improving working methods within the IT department.
• Monitoring compliance with established routines and ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with internal governing documents and applicable legislation, such as the Cybersecurity Act.

As a natural part of system management, you contribute to a systematic security effort by:

• Collaborating with the data protection officer and local information security coordinator.
• Initiating and conducting risk analyses, information classification, and impact assessments related to internal IT systems.
• Ensuring that internal systems are handled in accordance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.

As an IT Coordinator, you have a strategically important role in creating coherence, structure, and collaboration within and outside the organization. You do this, among other things, by:

• Compiling and reporting status, risks, and deviations related to system management to IT management.
• Planning and coordinating training and information initiatives related to internal IT systems, routines, and security.
• Planning and coordinating service windows for the municipality's IT systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• a relevant university degree in IT, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
• documented experience in system management
• very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• knowledge of information security and relevant regulations, such as GDPR

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience in system management within the public sector
• experience in risk analyses, information classification, and impact assessments of IT systems
• experience working in project form
• experience in coordinating or coordinating roles within IT

You are communicative, responsive to needs, and clear in your feedback regarding ongoing work and development progress. You understand the importance of documentation and standardized working methods and prefer to work methodically and with quality assurance.
