About the workplace

The Culture School is part of Lomma Municipality's cultural and leisure activities. Organizationally, we belong to the Department of Education, Food, Culture, and Leisure with a total of about 850 employees. The Culture School is staffed by a head of the culture school and 20 teachers. The Culture School has approximately 1,200 course places, and the activities consisting of music, theater, film, and art are conducted in both Bjärred and Lomma.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position includes teaching in singing, choir, musical theater, and the Second Graders' choir. Some of the teaching is planned and conducted in collaboration with a colleague. You will participate in the culture school's collaborative projects and concerts. Weekend work may occur. Teaching days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a pedagogical university degree with singing as your main instrument or other education deemed equivalent. You have experience teaching children and young people, both individually and in groups. We would like you to be able to accompany on the piano. For the part of the position that involves the Second Graders' choir, you need to have a driver's license and access to a car.

We are looking for someone with a creative and curious approach to teaching. You listen to students' needs and wishes and weave these into your teaching. You allow all students to participate according to their abilities and develop their skills and self-confidence. You inspire and motivate, as well as support students in their development, and you believe in the importance of both breadth and depth. As a colleague, you have good collaboration skills, administrative abilities, and take initiative.

OTHER

We prefer that the same person takes the entire position, but depending on the applicant's qualifications and preferences regarding working hours, there is an opportunity to divide the temporary position with an employment rate between 20%-70%. The temporary position extends from the period 260427261221 with a possible extension during the spring term.
