The Economic Crime Authority prevents, detects, interrupts, investigates, and prosecutes economic crimes. Our 800 employees have various competencies and professional roles, such as prosecutors, police officers, economic crime investigators, administrators, and other specialists, all working together against economic crime. The Legal Unit is responsible for ensuring quality, equality, and legal certainty in the authority's legal operations. The Legal Unit includes legal advisors and an archive and registrar function. The authority's data protection officer is also located in the Legal Unit.
The unit actively works with, among other things, the implementation of new legislation, monitoring legal developments, and providing the authority with qualified legal support. The unit is responsible for responding to consultations and providing opinions, as well as handling issues related to confidentiality and data protection. The unit also develops guiding documents, memoranda, and methodological support, and participates in training and other competence-enhancing initiatives within the authority. The unit collaborates closely with other authorities with related tasks. The Legal Unit now needs reinforcement in areas such as public access and confidentiality, data protection, and other relevant issues within the unit. The Legal Unit currently consists of about 14 people.
We are now looking for a prosecutor for a temporary employment of two years with the possibility of extension.
Job Responsibilities
As a prosecutor in the Legal Unit, you will, among other things:
- respond to consultations
- follow and drive development in legislative matters and practices
- participate in the assignments for which the unit is responsible
- work on legal development issues and provide qualified legal support to the entire operation
- contribute to developing working methods in the operational activities and within the Legal Unit
Qualifications
- Prosecutor with at least five years of operational experience
- Experience of operational work as a prosecutor at the Economic Crime Authority
- Experience of working in a legal unit (or equivalent)
- Very good ability to express oneself in speech and writing
Personal Characteristics
The Economic Crime Authority's operations encompass both prosecutorial and police activities, which places high demands on independent work and the ability to solve complex issues based on perspectives and regulations. You are also responsible, meticulous, and have good collaboration skills both internally within the authority and with external parties.
To succeed in your role at the Economic Crime Authority, you want and can work in accordance with the authority's employee policy, the EBM model.
Meritorious
- Experience in working with legal development issues
- Experience in collaboration and driving development issues
- Experience in developing working methods within the authority
Other
The position is temporary for two years with the possibility of extension, starting as soon as possible, according to agreement. You will be employed as a prosecutor with the function of legal advisor. Prosecutors in the Legal Unit have the opportunity to continue working in on-call operations.
The position is located at the Economic Crime Authority's headquarters in Stockholm. There is also the possibility to work partially at one of the authority's other operational locations.
We place high demands on our employees' security awareness. Security clearance with a background check in accordance with the Security Protection Act will be conducted before employment.
