At Vindex, we are looking for an experienced Business Controller for our client, with immediate start. The position is developing and responsible, focusing on financial follow-up, analysis, and business management. You will have the opportunity to contribute insights that create real business impact and develop reporting models, while ensuring the basis for decisions, forecasts, and follow-up against goals. About the role

As a Business Controller, you will be responsible for following up and developing governance, analysis, and reporting within the finance function. You will transform financial data and key figures into clear, business-relevant insights that support the development and profitability of the business, drive budget and forecasting processes, and analyze results and trends to identify improvement opportunities.

You will contribute to the development of structured plans, models, and reporting tools, as well as KPI management and profitability follow-up. In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with other parts of the organization to ensure that analyses and recommendations are anchored in the business and create effective processes. The position reports directly to the CFO and gives you a central role in ensuring accurate and relevant follow-up for both operational and strategic decisions.

Main responsibilities

• Quality assure and analyze financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts
• Follow up and analyze business performance, key figures, margins, and cash flow
• Planning and follow-up of budgets and forecasts
• Identify risks and growth opportunities through business and performance analysis
• Develop business cases for investments and strategic initiatives
• Establish and streamline routines and models for planning, follow-up, and cost control
• Provide support in financial matters and contribute to decisions within the organization

Qualifications

• Relevant academic degree in finance, economics, or equivalent
• 5–10 years of experience in business controlling, FP&A, financial analysis, or similar
• Very good analytical skills and understanding of business drivers
• Strong Excel skills, preferably experience with complex models and large data sets.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Desirable: experience from retail or e-commerce and BI tools.
