Welcome to the Agency for Participation (MFD)

Our mission is to promote accessibility in society to increase participation for people with disabilities. The goal is a sustainable society designed according to citizens' different conditions and needs.

Together with engaged colleagues, you will work to support public and private organizations in this effort. You will also contribute to spreading knowledge about solutions to barriers to enable more people to independently choose, make their own decisions, and influence their lives.

We are a small agency, and this means that each employee plays a significant role in our success. To meet a growing demand for our knowledge, both now and in the future, we are therefore looking for several investigators for our two operational departments.

Job Responsibilities

You will work as an investigator in one of the agency's two operational departments: the Department for Knowledge Support or the Department for Investigation.

The departments work closely together to provide support to authorities, regions, and municipalities in both monitoring and implementing disability policy.

The Department for Knowledge Support provides assistance to authorities, regions, and municipalities in their implementation of disability policy. The department develops support materials and conducts knowledge-enhancing initiatives such as seminars, lectures, and training. An important part consists of working closely with target groups in the development of support and continuously gathering needs from the target groups.

The Department for Investigation monitors and analyzes the outcomes of disability policy across various societal areas. The department is also responsible for following the work of authorities, municipalities, and regions. An important part also consists of generating new knowledge based on the follow-up that is conducted.

Being an investigator in one of the agency's operational departments means planning, preparing, executing, and reporting on larger and smaller assignments, such as government assignments and responding to referrals. It also involves representing the agency in various forums and contributing to internal development work. As an investigator, you often work together with other investigators and functions to carry out assignments. An important part of the investigator's role is to work closely with target groups and gather knowledge from individuals with personal experience of disabilities or the organizations that represent them.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree at least at the bachelor's level in a social science field or equivalent that the employer assesses as comparable.
  • At least four years of experience in strategic investigative work that the employer assesses as relevant for the position.
  • Experience working with project and process management in large and complex assignments.
  • Experience working with public actors to gather and exchange knowledge.
  • Experience in shaping and leading collaboration and dialogues with other actors.
  • Good ability to communicate both in writing and verbally in Swedish and to compile and present knowledge and decision support from a recipient perspective.

Desirable

It is desirable if you have:

  • Worked with other cross-sectoral issues such as sustainability, public health, gender equality, digital and physical accessibility, or disability policy.
  • Experience in analysis and follow-up in the social science field.
  • Experience in developing target group-adapted and pedagogical support materials.

Personal Qualities

For the assignment, you need to be self-driven and have a good ability to plan, structure, and drive your work. You are solution-oriented, seek help from others when needed, and are good at collaborating and have a pedagogical ability. You enjoy working on multiple issues simultaneously while using your analytical skills. You are concerned that your work contributes to the overall mission and to a good work environment.

Employment

We offer a flexible workplace with the possibility of some remote work, and the position will be in our new activity-based office in Liljeholmen, Stockholm. We have the option for trust-based working hours and are a workplace where you can work on developing and socially important issues.
