The Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS) is looking for shift-based communication officers
The Headquarters Communication Center (HKV SbC) in Stockholm is part of the Communication Department, which is a part of the Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Command. The task of the communication centers is to enable different parts of the Armed Forces to communicate with each other. In short, this means that the communication centers facilitate message relay, cryptographic key administration, and card administration in various ways. The communication center is staffed around the clock, every day, all year round. This means that work during uncomfortable hours and shifts is often required.

Main Responsibilities
As a Communication Officer, your main tasks are to carry out the communication center's operational commitments at all times of the day, all year round, which include:
- Providing support to Headquarters staff on-site at the Communication Center's customer service reception
- Registering and distributing all incoming and outgoing traffic in the Communication Center according to established routines
- Forwarding incoming documents to the Headquarters expedition
- Supporting in signal protection systems according to routine or as needed
- Staffing the switchboard during non-office hours
- Importing and exporting data in various IT systems
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- High school diploma with approved grades or equivalent experience
- Very good computer skills
- Very good ability to communicate in spoken and written Swedish and English
- Documented good work experience in service, communication, authority exercising, or other areas deemed equivalent by the employer

DESIRABLE
- Basic signal protection training
- Previous experience in IT and/or expedition services
- Military basic training
- Driver's license B
- Previous service within a government authority in total defense
- Handled classified information
Other
Work location: Stockholm.
Working hours: Shift work with a 35-hour week, staffing around the clock with a distribution of daytime, evenings, nights, and weekends, where longer shifts may occur.
The position is a civilian role with a permanent employment starting with a six-month probation period, unless you already work within the authority.
Start date: by agreement.
