Kristianstad Women's Shelter is looking for a Child Coordinator for our operations at the sheltered accommodation.

Our Operations

Kristianstad Women's Shelter is a religious and politically independent non-profit organization that works against violence and oppression in close relationships.

We have an open reception at our office in central Kristianstad and also run a sheltered accommodation for women and children who need protection and are placed through social services.

We provide adapted preschool activities for children residing in the sheltered accommodation with their mothers. We also offer activities for older children, such as tutoring and other leisure activities, depending on the individuals we currently have in our accommodation.

We who work at the women's shelter are a small, close-knit team consisting of an Operations Manager, Accommodation Manager, Social Pedagogue, and Administrator. The fifth team player has chosen to take on other challenges, and we are now looking for you to take over from our Child Educator.

The position is full-time (100%). A collective agreement is in place. On-call duty every fifth week is included. Salary according to agreement. We require a criminal record extract.

You will be primarily responsible for the children's activities and contact with child caseworkers at social services.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher degree, social work degree, or other higher education that the employer deems suitable, as well as experience working with vulnerable children and/or children with special needs. Training in Trappan conversations and/or previous work with children in sheltered accommodation or family investigation homes is an advantage.

You need to be solution-focused and flexible, as well as a team player since we are a small team that needs to collaborate. Personal suitability is of great importance.
