Gislaved Energi Koncern AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gislaved municipality via the parent company Gislaveds Kommunhus AB. Gislaved Energi Koncern AB consists of three subsidiaries: Gislaved Energi AB, Gislaved Energi Elnät AB, and Gislaved Energi Service AB. Gislaved Energi Koncern AB has a total of 22 employees and generates a revenue of 130 million SEK. We deliver 160 GWh of electricity and about 50 GWh of heat. We work with electricity distribution, electricity trading, district heating, electricity production, street lighting, and energy services such as charging stations, solar panels, and energy analyses.

Do you want to work in a central role where you contribute to the operation, development, and modernization of essential energy infrastructure?

Gislaved Energi is now looking for an Automation Technician - Industrial Electrician who wants to work broadly with the operation, development, and modernization of our facilities within electricity, heat, and energy.

About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Gislaved Energi's OT environment, including networks, SCADA, HMI, PLC, and RTUs. You will be involved in the entire chain – from idea and project planning to completed facility – and collaborate closely with both internal colleagues and external suppliers. The position is located in a smaller team where responsibility, collaboration, and a holistic view are central. You will have the opportunity to work long-term with technology that is central to both today's operations and the future development of our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the OT environment in all facilities

• Further develop and streamline control, monitoring, and alarm management within power plants, boiler plants, district heating networks, hydropower plants, solar installations, electricity distribution, and street lighting

• Be responsible for renovation projects from idea to operational facility

• Coordinate work with internal and external personnel

• Contribute to high operational reliability, efficiency, and availability in the facilities

About you

You have a technical education in electricity/automation and several years of relevant work experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in PLC and system programming

• Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and further development of automation systems

• Good experience in reading, understanding, and creating electrical diagrams and technical drawings

• Experience in electrical and control systems in industrial facilities

• Previous work in energy, industrial, or process operations

A valid driver's license (B) is required. We also expect you to have good knowledge of both English and Swedish.

You are a curious and proactive person who takes responsibility for the whole and enjoys working in a small team with diverse tasks. You work in a structured manner, plan your work well, and have a positive attitude that contributes to good collaboration and a pleasant work environment. You appreciate varied tasks and feel confident in independently driving issues from start to finish. You have the ability to independently drive issues and tasks from idea to implementation in daily operations.
