Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for a laboratory technician for the Industrial division and our operations in special coatings and laboratory in Jönköping. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your mission as a laboratory technician

Our laboratory operations serve as an independent knowledge center for our own asphalt, aggregate, and construction activities. At the same time, we are a partner for external clients who want to analyze and conduct tests on everything from asphalt mixtures to foundation materials. We are involved throughout the journey from quarrying, proportioning to finished construction.

We are now looking for a laboratory technician for our laboratory in Jönköping to further strengthen our operations.

In this role, you will work practically with measurements and testing of stone materials, asphalt, and bitumen, becoming an important part of delivering safe and sustainable materials for our projects. You will perform both qualitative and quantitative analyses and document these according to applicable practices.

Safety is always a priority, and you will follow the rules and procedures that apply at the workplace. You will help create a safe and inclusive work environment.

The work is varied and combines technical tasks with some physical duties, where aids are always available. You will be part of an engaged team where collaboration and quality are in focus.

The position will be filled by agreement. Working hours are 7-16, stationed at Svevia in Jönköping.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is technically interested and wants to work in the construction or contracting industry with quality control of asphalt and aggregate. As a person, we believe you are positive, meticulous, and have a strong sense of service. You work systematically, methodically, and reliably, and enjoy taking responsibility to ensure both quality and productivity. You have the ability to work independently as well as in a team, and you are motivated by achieving set goals.

To work as a laboratory technician with us, you need to have a high school education. Higher education is an advantage, but not a requirement. It is beneficial if you have an aptitude for math as there will be compilation of analyses where it will help. The most important thing for us is that you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn more about quality control to make our operations even better. We highly value your commitment and desire for development.

You master Swedish at a good professional level in both spoken and written forms. Good computer skills are important for the position, and a B driver's license is required as some travel may occur.

Part of something bigger

Svevia's industrial division is in an expansive phase, and the ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in coatings in Sweden.

Behind every road lies more than the obvious surface: a whole industry of knowledge and delivery capability. Our offering is an industrial process. From stone to finished road.

It all starts with a quarry, which then becomes aggregate, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 own quarries, in-house production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastics, we have a breadth that no one else has. In our laboratories, we conduct material analyses and ensure that products meet standards and requirements. And our skilled teams in milling, asphalting, tank coating, and road marking ensure that the delivery is complete.

Why Svevia?

With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. The decision-making paths are short, it is easy to influence and make your voice heard.

We have career paths for those who want to become managers and leaders or want to develop in their existing professional roles. It is as a team that we create success. That is how we do business and generate results. That is how we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?

Application and information

You can easily apply by sending in your CV and answering a few selection questions. Our recruitment process is based on a competency-based approach, which is a prerequisite for recruiting quality securely, inclusively, and without prejudice. Therefore, we do not want a personal letter.
