Urban Planner at Vetlanda Municipality

The Planning Department is part of the Technical Office. We are responsible for physical planning and GIS and work in several digital systems to support the planning process, while also collaborating closely with other departments within the municipality. Here you will meet a dedicated group with broad expertise and a strong desire to cooperate.

As an urban planner, you will be responsible for the planning process from idea to completed plan. You will engage in dialogue with citizens and politicians and collaborate with various administrations to achieve common goals. If necessary, there is also an opportunity to contribute to the work with comprehensive planning. The assignment involves balancing different interests against each other and developing solutions that support the municipality's long-term development.

We are looking for someone who has a creative streak and can easily communicate complex issues in a clear and understandable way. You are structured, stable, and have the ability to prioritize in a work environment with several parallel processes. You have an analytical approach and can see the big picture while working with details. It is an advantage if you are accustomed to working in digital systems and tools to support the planning work. Engagement and the ability to independently drive processes are important qualities for this role.

The position is a temporary contract from May to November, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• You have a university degree in physical planning, urban planning, or equivalent.
• Driver's license B.
• It is an advantage if you have several years of experience in urban planning and are accustomed to working in digital systems and tools.
• We place great importance on personal qualities.
