Substitute in Urban Planning

The Urban Planning Office is responsible for physical planning, building permits, supervision, environmental and health protection, as well as mapping and measurement activities. We are a total of about 30 employees divided into three units: environment, planning and building, and mapping.

In the planning unit, you will work alongside three planning officers and a coordinator in close collaboration with colleagues from the entire administration. Nässjö municipality is located in the heart of Småland and has just over 31,000 inhabitants. As a railway hub, we offer good commuting opportunities in all directions – and a scenic environment to work in.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute with us, you will have a varied and developing role with the opportunity to work with several aspects of physical planning, such as:

• participating in the development of detailed plans
• engaging in strategic planning
• contributing to investigations and projects related to community building issues
• collaborating with other administrations and municipal companies

You will be part of an engaged team working together to develop Nässjö municipality in a sustainable and long-term manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an education as a planning architect, urban planner, physical planner, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You need to have knowledge of the planning process, the Planning and Building Act, and the Environmental Code.

You have a good ability to communicate in Swedish. You also have a high digital maturity and are comfortable working with digital tools, such as the Office suite, Adobe programs, and AutoCAD.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• experience in developing detailed plans and managing planning projects
• experience from a politically governed organization
• knowledge of Focus Detailed Plan, QGIS, EDP Vision, and 3D visualization
• a B driver's license

As a person, you are structured, creative, solution-oriented, and have good collaboration skills. You have a strong interest in planning and urban development issues and a desire to grow and develop. You should be attentive and work diligently on the tasks assigned to you.
