About the Workplace

Hello! We're glad you found us – and we're excited that you're curious about the administrator position with us.

The Supply Unit is part of the Social Services for Individuals and Families in Luleå Municipality. We work in a socially vital operation where structure, quality, and engagement make a real difference – both for the people we meet and for our employees.

The new Social Services Act has come into effect, which means both changed working methods and a cultural shift towards more accessible, preventive, and development-oriented work. We are currently engaged in active development work where we are reviewing structures, roles, and working methods to meet the new requirements. As part of this, we are strengthening the administrative function to create smarter flows, clearer responsibilities, and an even better working environment.

Therefore, we are now looking for an administrator who wants to take a key role in the operation – and be involved in building, shaping, and structuring a function that is completely new in the unit.

We are centrally located in Luleå. When you start with us, you will receive a thorough introduction and support to comfortably settle into the role.

Job Responsibilities

As an administrator with us, you are a true enabler. You create structure, free up time, and contribute to a smoother everyday life – for both social workers, managers, and the operation as a whole.

Your task is to gather, develop, and manage administrative tasks that do not require social worker competence. You will be a close support to the unit manager and employees, and you will have a broad, varied role where you alternate between independent work, coordination, and practical support.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

  • municipal estate administration
  • distribution of client funds
  • some processing related to the social administration's grants for associations and activities
  • administrative tasks related to the operation's processes
  • compilation, follow-up, and quality assurance of statistics and documentation
  • preparations for meetings, such as bookings, presentations, and materials
  • other administrative and practical support

This is a role for you who enjoys variety, responsibility, and keeping track. You will help create order, build working methods, and actively contribute to how the function will be shaped moving forward in a changing operation.

The working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of flexibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in administrative work who is passionate about structure, service, and quality. You are confident in a role where you work independently, drive your own work forward, and at the same time support others.

We see that you have:

  • high school education, preferably supplemented with post-secondary education
  • experience in qualified administrative work
  • very good digital skills – you are proficient in the Office suite and feel at home in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have experience working in social services or public administration. A B driver's license is a plus as home visits may occur.

As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, and collaborative. You are unpretentious, take your own initiative, and thrive in a role where you can think, plan, and do. Since the function is completely new in the unit, you need to be comfortable building working methods, creating routines, and tackling what needs to be done, big and small.

We will place great emphasis on your personal competencies in this recruitment.

Do you feel that this sounds like your thing? That's great – we really hope you apply!
