Professional Galaxy is looking for a Consultant - Accountant on behalf of our client.

The company is in an intense development and growth phase where the business is being built up while processes are established and refined. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced accounting consultant who can strengthen our accounting team in a broad assignment focusing on accounting, year-end closing, and further development of the finance function.

The consultant will work operationally within accounting while the assignment has a clear focus on improvement and development. The role serves as an important collaboration point between accounting, business control, and other parts of the organization to ensure accurate accounting, follow-up, and analysis of costs and deviations.

The assignment combines individual responsibility within defined areas with close collaboration in teams, where knowledge sharing and joint problem-solving are central working methods.

Responsibilities (examples)

Ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and accruals Monthly closing and reporting Reconciliation and declaration of VAT Preparation of materials for annual reports and audits Support in internal projects, such as system changes and accounting-related investigations Active participation in – and driving – the development, improvement, and documentation of routines and processes within the finance function Desired competence We are looking for a consultant who is self-driven, structured, and meticulous, with a strong ability to create structure and contribute to effective working methods in a changing environment. The assignment requires good communication skills and experience collaborating with different functions within the organization.

The consultant is expected to have:

Degree in economics at the university level or equivalent relevant experience Approximately 5–10 years of experience in similar accounting roles Good overall understanding of the accounting flow Experience with system changes and a strong interest in systems (experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus) Very good knowledge of Excel Good knowledge of K3 (IFRS is a plus) Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written (the working language is English) Experience with fixed assets Experience with high transaction volumes Comfortable/thrives in a changing environment is a plus. In the long term, the plan is to hire the consultant; we envision 6 months as a consultant with free takeover thereafter.
