We are now looking for a project controller responsible for working with budgets, forecasts, follow-ups, and financial statements for one or more research subjects. You will be part of an administrative unit with employees working in finance, education, HR, and operational administration, led by an administrative manager. The unit serves as a common resource for the entire organization, aiming to provide administrative support to management as well as researchers, teachers, doctoral students, and students.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Establishing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements at the departmental, research subject, and project level
- Ongoing accounting, project follow-up, and reporting to various funders
- Assisting with financial calculations and collaborating closely with the department head, researchers, and project leaders on research applications and reports
- Presenting the department's and research subjects' finances in various contexts
- Assisting with decision-making materials and communicating with funders and other stakeholders
As a project controller with us, you will be part of the institution's finance function together with a controller, several project controllers, and financial administrators. You will also be part of the university's network for project controllers.

Qualifications
A degree in economics at the university level with a focus on accounting is required for the position. If you have worked for a few years in accounting and/or have experience in project accounting, it is an advantage. The job requires a good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, characterized by good collaboration skills and a strong sense of service. You are results-oriented, analytical, have a structured working method, and find it easy to build good relationships with people around you. Furthermore, you should be able to work independently, be proactive in change work, and take great responsibility for your tasks. You should have the ability to be responsive to the needs and demands of management and the organization for support.
Scope and Location
We are looking for a project controller for a permanent full-time position in Luleå. You also have the opportunity for remote work up to 40%. A probationary period may apply.
