Sustainability Controller

In the role of Sustainability Controller, you will play a key position in the work of implementing and developing the group's sustainability reporting according to CSRD. You will be an important driving force in structuring, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of the reporting, while collaborating closely with various parts of the organization and external parties to ensure a transparent, clear, and accurate annual and sustainability report.

The Most Important Job of the Future

We want to lead the transition of our industry towards a sustainable future. Just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on the journey, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world’s mining and mineral industry?

Your Role

As a Sustainability Controller, you step into an exciting phase where we have just delivered the first sustainability report according to CSRD. Now we are entering the next phase where we will systematize and improve our work.

You will have a key role in driving the structuring, governance, and coordination of the reporting work related to the annual and sustainability report.

In this assignment, you will be responsible for coordinating content, interpreting requirements according to ESRS, and planning timelines, as well as ensuring the quality and verification of sustainability data in close dialogue with the business. You will work closely with sustainability managers in the business areas, auditors, and communication agencies, and will be part of the project group for the annual and sustainability report.

The role involves close collaboration with the steering group, project managers, and other key functions, where you ensure that the reporting is correct, transparent, and in line with applicable regulations. The role also involves driving evaluation and improvement work, as well as monitoring legislation and the external environment in the area.

Travel in the service to our operational locations may occur.

What You Bring

You are analytical and have the ability to interpret complex data and requirements, which enables you to ensure accuracy and quality in sustainability reporting. With a structured working method, you keep track of timelines, tasks, and coordination between different actors to drive the project forward effectively.

Your communication skills allow you to convey information and requirements to both internal and external stakeholders clearly and appropriately. As an initiator, you are eager to take your own initiatives to solve challenges and develop working methods, contributing to a successful and proactive sustainability effort.

You also bring:

  • Experience working with and implementing CSRD.
  • A degree in economics, political science, environmental science, sustainability, or equivalent.
  • Experience working systematically with project management and timeline planning.
