The municipality has more than 700 employees, your position is at the office and is part of the municipal manager's staff. At the office, we work closely with politics and the officials who lead the work. We are responsible for the entire chain from a new document to the archive, as well as assessing and disclosing public documents. The office also includes Communication and Citizen Service, thus completing the circle from the questions and ideas of the residents of Älvsbyn to decisions and further communication about what is happening. Together, we create good conditions for each other and for Älvsbyn, in everyday life and for the future.

Job Responsibilities

As a qualified administrator, you primarily support the politicians, but also the municipal manager and other managers in processing and investigation related to political work. You compile and prepare cases for political decisions and take minutes, as well as guide during committee meetings. You then execute decisions that affect individuals, businesses, and society at large, and legal security and rigor are important. The role also includes administering general elections and ensuring and maintaining relevant document management. Together with other administrators, you contribute to the development of the office's internal processes. You are also responsible for one or more focus areas distributed within the organization. Job tasks and responsibilities may change and develop over time.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone with an academic background in law, political science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Experience working in a politically governed organization with committee administration and document management is an advantage.

Knowledge in the areas of data protection, information security, and project management is also advantageous. You have good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing public administration.

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment with immediate start or as agreed, lasting until October 2026, with the possibility of extension.
