Do you want to help shape the future of steel production while contributing to a safe, efficient, and service-oriented work environment? SSAB is now looking for an engaged and proactive Facility & Site Support for our newly formed Service Team within the Transformation Office in Luleå.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of Sweden's largest industrial future projects – the construction of SSAB's new steel mill in Luleå.
Joining the SSAB family means embarking on a journey. A journey we believe is crucial for the planet's future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
In the role of Facility & Site Support as part of the Service Team TO, you will practically support SSAB's organization and our subcontractors in the implementation of the project.
The team is responsible for:
- Office and changing modules.
- Project vehicles.
- Electrical maintenance and PSU.
- Signage, wayfinding, and ice prevention.
- Practical support to various functions of the project.
As Facility & Site Support, you are a key person in creating a safe, efficient, and pleasant work environment – both indoors and outdoors. The role is broad, practical, and varied, and you will be a central part of the daily progress of the project.
Your main responsibilities
- Perform practical tasks such as snow removal, ice prevention, signage, and minor repairs.
- Support rearrangements and equipment assembly.
- Prevent risks by participating in safety rounds and addressing deficiencies.
- Report incidents and contribute to a safe working method.
- Be the contact person for practical matters together with the Team Leader.
- Collaborate with the service team and project organization.
- Ensure a high level of service and a positive attitude towards internal and external customers.
About you
We are looking for someone who has
- At least 5 years of experience in service, operations, property management, or similar practical work.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
- Driver's license B.
- At least a high school education.
- Good communication skills.
- A service-oriented, self-driven, and proactive working style.
- Structure, problem-solving ability, and decisiveness.
Meritorious
- Experience from construction projects or industrial environments.
- Experience working in an international environment.
Who are you?
- You enjoy practical work, a fast pace, and varied tasks.
- You are a team player who contributes to a good atmosphere but can also work independently when needed.
- You take responsibility, see what needs to be done, and have a natural sense of service and quality.
Our offer
At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We use our values – driving, genuine, and one step ahead – in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus. This makes us all team players, with a common goal of improving ourselves. When you join SSAB, you become part of an organization with passionate problem solvers working together on important challenges. We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that contributes to a balance between work and private life.
