We are looking for an Accounting Economist for an assignment with our client. In the long term, the client's plan is to hire the consultant.

The company is in an intense development and growth phase where operations are being built up in parallel with processes being established and refined. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced accounting consultant who can strengthen our accounting team in a broad assignment focusing on accounting, financial closing, and further development of the finance function.

The consultant will work operationally within accounting while the assignment involves a clear focus on improvement and development. The role serves as an important collaboration point between accounting, business control, and other parts of the organization to ensure accurate accounting, follow-up, and analysis of costs and deviations.

The assignment combines individual responsibility within defined areas with close collaboration in a team, where knowledge sharing and joint problem-solving are central working methods.

Responsibilities (examples)

Ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and accruals

Monthly financial closing and reporting

Reconciliation and declaration of VAT

Preparation of materials for annual reports and audits

Support in internal projects, such as system changes and accounting-related investigations

Active participation in – and driving – the development, improvement, and documentation of routines and processes within the finance function

Desired Competence

We are looking for a consultant who is self-driven, structured, and meticulous, with a strong ability to create structure and contribute to efficient working methods in a changing environment. The assignment requires good communication skills and experience collaborating with various functions within the organization.

The consultant is expected to have

Higher education in economics or equivalent relevant experience

Approximately 5–10 years of experience in similar accounting roles

Good overall understanding of the accounting flow

Experience with system changes and a strong interest in systems (experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus)

Very good knowledge of Excel

Good knowledge of K3 (IFRS is a plus)

Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written (the working language is English)

Experience with fixed assets

Experience with high transaction levels

Comfortable in a changing environment is a plus.
