Puoltikasvaara is located 50 km north of Gällivare, beautifully situated by Lake Soutujärvi. The children in our school come from the villages of Skaulo, Puoltikasvaara, and Moskojärvi. Puoltikasvaara School is a small school for students in grades F-6, where classes consist of 4-8 students. The school is located in the same building as the preschool and has a close collaboration with both the preschool and the after-school care. The school has recently been renovated and offers a very nice indoor environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a teaching assistant, you will support the teaching in preschool class as well as practical/aesthetic subjects and assist with administrative tasks. You will work closely with the teachers and contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for the students. You will participate in the school's joint development work and help with practical tasks in the classroom.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience working with children and youth. Educational training or experience is an advantage.

Requirement upon employment – extract from the police criminal record.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Full-time, temporary position from March 9 to June 17, 2026.
